Office of Media Relations and Public Information works
as a liaison between the Sheriff’s Office and
the media to keep the public informed. During breaking
or high profile criminal investigations, the public
information officer coordinates media interviews and
press conferences.
In addition, the office produces publications
of the Sheriff’s Office, including the annual
report and quarterly employee newsletters.
The Public Information Officer (PIO)
writes news releases, public service announcements,
and other materials relating to the Sheriff’s
Office.
The PIO assists all divisions
with promotion of Sheriff’s Office services and
photographs special events.
