FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sheriff's Office, TBI, still seeking information regarding Lance Michael Larson
Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are still seeking the public's assistance in finding out information regarding Lance Michael Larson, the 29-year-old man whose body was found in Little River in Rockford March 14th.
Attached are two updated photos of Larson, taken in November 2012. It is believed that Larson's appearance today is basically the same as in the attached photos, sporting a light beard and longer hair.
Larson's vehicle, a 2003 Kia Spectra with a Missouri registration CF1S9R, is also still missing.
Larson may have friends in Johnson City.
The University of Tennessee Forensics Center conducted an autopsy on Larson Friday, but the cause of death is still under investigation.
The Blount County Sheriff's Office and TBI are working together to piece together why Larson was in the Rockford area. In February, he traveled to Lynchburg, Virginia from his home in O'Fallon, Missouri. The last known contact with his family in Missouri was around February 20th, when he told his parents he was headed back to Missouri. Larson's body was found by fishermen approximately a half mile downstream from the Roddy Branch boat access area off Old Knoxville Highway.
