NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR CORRECTIONS RESERVE PROGRAM

Blount County Sheriff James L. Berrong announced today that the Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the new correction’s reserve program. This program is for anyone that is interested in receiving experience in the field of corrections.
This is strictly a volunteer program. Applicants must be 21-years-old to participate. The Sheriff’s Office will provide the necessary training, which will consist of working with corrections officers in the Adult Corrections Division. Duties may include, but are not limited to, normal corrections operations, transporting inmates, investigations, and special events.
