Blount County Sheriff James L. Berrong announced that the Sheriff's Office is forming a class for Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) instruction for women.
The 12-hour free class will be held February 8 and 9, and February 15 and 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Eagleton Middle School. The class is open to all women ages 13 and up. Class size is limited.
Enroll now to develop options of resistance in the Rape Aggression Defense self-defense program taught by certified instructors at the Sheriff's Office. This dynamic, hands-on program was designed for the average woman-beginning with awareness, risk reduction, avoidance, and overall prevention. Then, basic techniques are taught in an enjoyable format by certified instructors. Practice your physical techniques during "realistic simulation training."
