
Joint Child Safety Seat Clinic Saturday in Knoxville

MARYVILLE, TENNESSEE – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong announced the Sheriff’s Office is joining the Tennessee Highway Safety Office and multiple East Tennessee law enforcement agencies for a Child Safety Seat event at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville this Saturday.
This joint event is scheduled for 10 am until 2 pm at Chilhowee Park, located at 516 N. Beaman Street, Knoxville (Parking lot across from The Muse).
Trained and certified child passenger safety seat technicians from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Police Department, Oak Ridge Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and University of Tennessee Police Department will be on hand to provide child car seat installation. This clinic is an opportunity to ensure the child’s safety seat fits your vehicle, your child, and ensure it is safely and securely anchored in the vehicle.
In addition, the BCSO will host a Child Safety Seat event on Saturday, May 24 at Walland Elementary School, 247 E. Millers Cove Road, Walland, from 9 am until 12 pm.
The Sheriff’s Office holds Child Safety Seat clinics throughout the year from February through November at different locations in Blount County. Future events will be posted to our Facebook page and website prior to each event.
